Welcome to our blog. Here you will find all sorts of magical and wonderful things. We will be including business tips, witchy ideas and anything that we think you guys would enjoy. This first blog post is a short introduction into our business and us as individuals. Who are we?
To start, I will be telling you a little bit about us! My name is Jessica. I am 28 years old, and I am from Northern Ireland. I have a background in Drama and Performing Arts. I started performing when I was sixteen and I absolutely love it. I studied BA (Hons) Performance and graduated in 2017. I have worked as a mental health support worker, and I am currently working as a Special Educational Needs Classroom Assistant. I absolutely love my job as no two days are the same and the kids that I work with are amazing.
Lee is the `business brain` behind Majestic Coven! He is also 28 years old from Northern Ireland. Lee has a keen interest business, and he is also our excellent product photographer. Lee has previous experience in making candles from a business that he had a few years ago but has since moved on to bigger and better things! Lee also works as a freelancer through Infinity One Creative Studios. Lee loves the business and marketing side of things (which is good because I don’t!) and he finds new inspiration for our website and products every day!
How did Majestic Coven start?
I had always been interested in Wicca and Witchcraft, but I had never really had the opportunity to explore it. During lockdown 2020 I decided that I wanted to learn how to read tarot cards. I started studying a Level 3 Diploma in Tarot Reading. I was able to learn so many things and I was inspired to start my own tarot reading business. This resulted in Majestic Tarot being born!
I had lots of encouragement from Lee, but I had started to feel like something was missing. We talked about it for a while, and we decided to start making spell candles and spell jars. We wanted to create a business where our customers would get a variety of handmade quality products and with Lee’s knowledge in candle making, we would have been silly not to! Majestic Tarot was changed to Majestic Coven in April 2021!
Since then, we have grown so much. We have added to our candle and wax melt collections significantly and we have gained so much knowledge along the way! We cannot wait to see what the future holds for us. We would love to have our own shop one day so that we can meet all our lovely customers in person! Hopefully one day that will be a reality!
