Candle Care Guide

Candles sometimes don't always burn as they should. this can be down to many factors such as ambient temperature or draughts.

This guide will hopefully help keep your candles burning as they should so you can get the most out of them!

Always Trim The Wick!

It’s very important to always keep the wick of your candle trimmed especially after burning it.
The Ideal length is around 5mm and should be trimmed after every burn by using wick trimmers, scissors or when the candle has cooled the wick will be brittle enough to simply snap of by hand.

Achieve a Full Melt Pool

Try to burn candles for a minimum of 3-4 hours to ensure a full melt pool is achieved.
This will stop your candle from tunnelling, which will leave a perimeter of unmelted wax around the edge of the candle. If you find you have a tunnelling issue, try heating up the tin with hot air (such as a hairdryer) to evenly disperse the wax.

Safety

  • Always ensure your candle is placed on a secure and flat fire resistant surface (place candle on lid if you are unsure)
  • Keep candles out of reach of children and animals
  • Keep away from flammable materials
  • Use a snuffer to extinguish flame
  • Never leave an candle unattended
  • Keep away from draughts (eg: windows)
